A teen has been roasted by police after commenting on a witness appeal - for an incident in which he was allegedly involved.
A police force recently put out a witness appeal after a group of youths were causing a ruckus at a shopping centre, saying they had thrown rocks at members of the public and were verbally abusive to security on site.
The alleged incident occurred in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, and soon the Facebook post from Cannock Police received a comment from a familiar face.
The youth commented two laughing emojis, and soon the force replied roasting the teen, telling him the only reason his face was missed off was because they already knew exactly who he was.

The initial post from Cannok Police read: " #namesplease | This incident at the West Midlands Designer Outlet occurred in April. We are looking to identify the youths involved.
"The group had thrown rocks at both security and members of the public, and had been verbally abusive to security on site.
"We would like to ensure this does not happen again, so if you recognise anyone involved, please make contact. Thank you."
Then, after the teen had commented on the post, the police replied: "Don't worry (name removed), we hadn't forgotten about you!
"In fact, we identified you already on another section of this footage. We didn't need to publish your image for this reason.

"But seeing as you have publically commented on our post, West Midlands Designer Outlet asked us to let you know you're banned. So do us a favour, let your buddies know too.
"We'll still be dealing with the assaults of course. Thank you for your support. #cutethatyoufollowus."
Cannok Police's reply proved popular with Facebook users, and they soon had nearly 2,000 reactions.
