Teen told to write letter of apology after graffiti tagging in Yate

An 18-year old man has been given a conditional caution after admitting spraying graffiti tags around Yate Shopping Centre during July of this year.

The man has agreed to pay £75 and write a letter of apology to the centre manager as part of a caution issued to him on 20 November.

Officers from Avon and Somerset Constabulary traced the man through a public appeal for information and are grateful to all the people who came forward.

The caution means the man's actions will be kept on record and can be disclosed to the court in the case of possible future offences.

A caution can also affect travel to some countries.
