A couple described as "chalk and cheese" by their family are believed to be one of the youngest in Britain to celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary.
Patricia Pratt, 76, and husband Denis, 78, will celebrate 60 years of marriage on Thursday, October 7, surrounded by family.
The couple, who live in Heswall, met over 60 years ago when both worked at the Birkenhead Ritz Cinema.

Patricia was an usherette and Denis worked as a projectionist at the grand cinema which was built in 1937 but demolished in October 2000.
They were married one year and three months after they first got together, and have gone on to have six children, 13 grandchildren, and are expecting their ninth great grandchild later this year.
Granddaughter, Kerri Burson, 32, spoke to the ECHO about her grandparent's remarkable relationship.
Kerri said: "She knew she loved him straight away. She says he had a beautiful head of hair and smiley eyes.
"He was also a gentleman. When he used to walk past she used to say 'isn't he gorgeous'."

Kerri said the pair first bumped into each other a year before they started working together and there was a mutual attraction straight away.
When they both started working at the cinema, Kerri said her granddad used to play tricks on her nan while they were courting.

Kerri said: "My grandad is dead outgoing and mischievous so he would just like to wind her up and embarrass her a little bit.
"When my nan would be showing people to their seats or selling refreshments, he would shine the theatre search light on her for a joke and she would run off embarrassed."
In their time working for the legendary cinema they met many famous people including Billy Fury, Jean Vincent and Alvin Stardust.
They also worked alongside Kim Woodburn of How Clean is your House fame. Kim even went with Patricia to help pick out her wedding dress.
The couple were married in St Laurence's Catholic Church, Birkenhead on the October 7 1961.

Kerri said the secret to their long marriage was a mixture of love, teamwork and "give and take," adding: "My nan said it's because her husband has a lot of patience.
"But if anyone in the family needs help they go to them - they're like the family glue."

Kerri said the ability to laugh together is still a big part of her grandparents' relationship to this day.
She added: "I think they're like a comedy double act - they're dead funny with their daft bickering.
"My nan's more like a lady and my granddad is more Jack-the-lad. They're like chalk and cheese but they go together well."
Patricia and Denis plan to celebrate their amazing milestone surrounded by generations of their family with a special dinner at home.
