Teen suffers 'significant head injuries' after he was stamped on in vicious Bristol attack

A teenager suffered ‘significant head injuries’ when another boy stamped on his head in a vicious attack near Bristol city centre.

The 15-year-old was waiting at a bus stop in Old Market Street when another teenager rode up on a bicycle and began arguing with him.

Police said there was then an altercation and the victim fell to the floor and the other teenager stamped on his head ‘a number of times’.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened between 2.30pm and 2.40pm on the afternoon of Sunday, October 13.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has information which could help our inquiry, is asked to call 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5219237259,” said a police spokesperson.

“You can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their Anonymous Online Form,” he added.
