Teen suffers broken jaw in Bangor attack

A teenager was found with serious facial injuries following an incident in Bangor.

Police received a report just after 6.15am on Monday, July 12, that a 19-year-old man had been found with facial injuries in the Owenroe Drive area of the town.

It is understood they had suffered a suspected broken jaw and a number of teeth were knocked out.

Police say they are working to establish the cause of the teenagers injuries and are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious to contact them.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police received a report shortly before 6:15am on Monday 12 th July that a 19 year old male was found with facial injuries at the Owenroe Drive area of Bangor.

"The male was taken to hospital for treatment and enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

"Police would appeal to anyone with any information to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 683 12/07/21.
