Teen stabbed 'multiple times' during knife attack in Easton

A man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remains in police custody tonight almost two days after a teenager was stabbed in Easton.

The 16-year-old was attacked on St Gabriel’s Road at around 8.55pm on Tuesday (July 9).

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police says the suspect was spotted getting into a waiting black Honda Civic which was then driven erratically away from the scene.

Following the incident, the victim staggered over to officers on Stapleton Road who provided him with first aid while an ambulance was called.

He remains in hospital in a stable condition receiving treatment for multiple stab wounds.

A 32-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and he remains in police custody.

A force spokesperson said: "Do you have any information about this assault?

"Did you witness it take place or see the car drive away from the scene?

"If you can help our inquiry in any way, please call 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5219156297."

Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their Anonymous Online Form.

No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will not go to court or have to speak to police when contacting Crimestoppers.
