A teenager required multiple stitches after he was stabbed with a broken bottle on the grounds of Malahide Castle last night.

The 18-year-old was attacked on the picturesque castle grounds at around 11pm last night.

The teen was slashed three times in the vicious late night assault.

He was later treated for the deep lacerations at Beaumont Hospital.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live they are investigating the incident.

He said: "Gardaí are investigating an assault on a man in his late teens that occurred on the evening of Wednesday 27th May 2020 in Malahide, County Dublin.

"At approximately 11pm, the man presented himself with injuries to Gardaí and was taken to Beaumont Hospital where his condition is described as non-life threatening.
