Teen shot in face on Bloomingdale Trail

A 17-year-old boy was shot in his face Monday afternoon on the Bloomingdale Trail between the Logan Square and Humboldt Park neighborhoods on the Northwest Side.

Authorities responded about 12:30 p.m. to a shooting on the trail in the 1800 block of North Drake Avenue, Chicago police and fire officials said.

The boy was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to his nose, police said. His condition was not known.

Additional details have not been released.
