Teen shot in Cragin

A 16-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Tuesday in Cragin on the Northwest Side.

He was in a vehicle about 2:15 p.m. in the 5500 block of West School Street when a black SUV pulled up behind the car and someone inside opened fire, Chicago police said.

The teen was struck in the arm and taken to Community First Medical Center, where he was in good condition, police said.

Area Five detectives are investigating.
