Teen shot in Austin

A teenage boy was shot Oct. 14, 2020, in the 5000 block of West Washington Boulevard. | Sun-Times file photo

A 17-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Wednesday in Austin on the West Side.

He was on the sidewalk about 8:15 p.m. in the 5000 block of West Washington Boulevard when someone unleashed gunfire, Chicago police said.

The teen was struck multiple times in the arm and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

No arrests have been reported. Area Four detectives are investigating.
