Teen shot during fight in Portage Park car repair shop

A suspect is in custody after he allegedly shot a teenager Friday during a fight in a Portage Park car repair shop.

The two were involved in a physical altercation inside a business about 4:10 p.m. in the 3400 block of North Cicero Avenue, Chicago police said.

A 36-year-old man took out a gun and shot a 19-year-old man in the abdomen, police said. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition stabilized.

The 36-year-old suspect was taken in for questioning, police said.
