Teen schoolboy hospitalised after falling into River Kelvin in Glasgow

A teenage schoolboy has been hospitalised after he fell into the River Kelvin in Glasgow.

Officers from Police Scotland and paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service rushed to the scene shortly after 5.30pm on Sunday June 14.

A 14-year-old fell into the water near Maryhill's Lochgilp Street.

He was taken to Royal Hospital for Children in the city to be checked over, however his condition is currently not known.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.35pm on Sunday June 14, we were called to a report of a 14-year-old boy being pulled out the water near Lochgilp Street after falling in.

"He's been taken to the Royal Hospital for Children to be checked over."
