An 18-year-old boy was left injured and badly shaken after being jumped by three men in broad daylight.
Lanarkshire Live understands the teenager was punched in the face on Graham Avenue in East Kilbride Village on November 5 in an unprovoked attack.
Police Scotland say that officers are following a "positive line of enquiry".
A spokesman added: “At 4.25pm on Friday, November 5, an 18-year-old male was the subject of a minor assault by three males on Graham Avenue in East Kilbride.
“He did not require hospital treatment.
"Officers are following a positive line of enquiry regarding identification of those involved.”
