Teen's mural in Baltic Triangle to celebrate Liverpool coming together after lockdown

A stunning new mural in the Baltic Triangle has celebrated Liverpool coming together after a difficult lockdown.

Located on Jamaica Street, the 'Together' artwork marks the end of some restrictions as people are finally able to reunite after months apart.

Sean Webster, 18, completed the mural in just six hours on Tuesday, April 20.

The teenager said the piece "is all about the feeling of togetherness and happiness that has been felt by the people of Liverpool since the lockdown rules were loosened last week".

Comic and media personality Pete Price is among those who have admired the new mural, as Sean said he stopped by to view it.

The artwork comes as some pubs and restaurants were able to reopen outside, shops were able to open and people were finally able to see each other in gardens and public spaces.

Venues have been packed full of people wanting to support businesses and friends and families have been reunited since rules were relaxed on April 12.

Sean's mural shows a montage of faces smiling and was completed just over a week after people could begin seeing each other again.

Sean said: "This positive new painting has been designed to portray the light at the end of the tunnel and bring a smile to people’s faces."
