Teen rushed to hospital after being hit by a car near Glasgow park

A teen was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car near a Glasgow park.

Emergency services raced to Main Road, Milngavie, at around 4:30pm on Friday, November 5.

A 15-year-old boy was struck by a car near the popular Lennox Park.

An eyewitness warned locals to avoid the area as police and paramedics attended the scene.

The teenager was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police are set to submit a crash report following the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called at 4.37pm on Friday, 5 November to reports of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Main Road, Milngavie.

"A 15-year-old boy was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. His injuries have been assessed as non-life-threatening.

"The driver of the car stopped at the scene. Officers will submit a crash report."
