Police are investigating after a teenager was robbed at knifepoint by two men as he walked alongside a canal in Trafford .
The 19-year-old is understood to have been walking alone along Canal Road in Timperley on Sunday night when he was confronted by the thugs, both of who were armed with knives.
They threatened the victim before stealing his mobile phone.
The robbers then escaped the scene towards Park Road.
A spokesman for GMP confirmed an investigation into the incident - which happened at around 10.20pm - was underway and urged anyone with information to come forward.
No arrests have yet been made, and enquiries are ongoing.
