Teen red-faced after mum reads boyfriend's X-rated text while shopping on iPad

A teenage girl has been left red-faced after her mum read her boyfriend's raunchy text message as she did the family food shop online.

Katie Cox, 16, from Newport, Shropshire, had left her Apple account signed in to both her mobile and her tablet device, meaning her text messages were visible on both.

This resulted in her mum Laura accidentally read the text - which read: "B*****b time!" while she was shopping with Katie's iPad.

The embarrassed mum sent a text to he daughter saying: "Hate to tell you but I can see all your messages on your iPad!"

Luckily Katie saw the funny side, and took to social media to share the awkward interaction.

Katie's post, which has clocked up more than 27,000 likes online, has caused amusement among social media users.

Chloe Cane said: "Bet he got embarrassed and won't face your mum again."

"But it's definitely something I've done plenty of times, just never had parents see the texts."

Speaking today, Katie said: "I was shocked honestly! I know my mum is quite laid back so I hoped she'd see the funny side to it.

"I think she was embarrassed that she'd seen them as they were coming through.

"It was a shock whilst she was trying to do the Tesco shop.

"But she definitely did see the funny side of it, as we're both so open that it was funny rather than something to be ashamed of."
