Teen Rangers fan missing overnight from Glasgow sparks urgent police search

A teen Rangers fan who has gone missing from his home in Glasgow has sparked an urgent police search.

Billy Lickrish vanished from his home in Drumreoch Place in the Rutherglen area of the city at around 2am on Wednesday.

The 14-year-old is described as around 5ft 2ins, of medium build with short, curly, blonde hair.

He was last seen wearing a dark grey hoodie, a Rangers football club top, black joggers and grey trainers.

Police say that although the youngster has been missing before, he has not been in touch with his family 'for some time'.

Concerns are now growing for his welfare.

Officers are urging anyone who has any information on Billy's whereabouts to come forward.

Sergeant Eddie Cairns said: “Billy has been missing before but he has not been in touch with his family for some time and concerns are growing.

"I am asking anyone who has seen Billy or who might know where he is to get in touch with us.”

Anyone who can help should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0183 of Wednesday, 6 April.
