Teen passenger shot while riding through Marquette Park

A teen was shot Monday night while riding through Marquette Park on the South Side.

Around 9:40 p.m., the 16-year-old male was a passenger in a van riding through the 6300 block of South Sacramento Avenue when he was shot twice in the chest and three times in the right arm, Chicago police said.

The driver took the teen to Holy Cross Hospital where he was listed in stable condition, police said. He was the taken to Mount Sinai Hospital by ambulance.

No one was in custody. Area One detectives are investigating.
