Teen motorcyclist rushed to hospital with serious injuries after horror Portsoy smash

A teenager has been rushed to hospital with 'serious injuries' after a horror smash in Aberdeenshire.

Emergency services raced to the one-vehicle collision at around 9:30am on Monday morning, October 4.

A motorcyclist had crashed into a wall in the town of Portsoy, on Seafield Street.

Cops locked down the road for over eight hours in the wake of the collision and opened shortly before 6pm.

Police confirmed an 18-year-old man was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries as a result of the crash.

They have now launched a probe into the incident and urging any witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage to come forward.

A police spokesman said: “We received a report of a one-vehicle crash, after a motorbike struck a wall, on Seafield Street, Portsoy around 9.30am on Monday, 4 October.

“The 18-year-old male motorcyclist has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

“Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and any witnesses with dashcam footage are being asked to make contact with local police.”
