Teen Mom UK star feared for her life as ex tried to strangle her for refusing sex

Teen Mom UK star Mia Boardman was left fearing for her life after her ex-boyfriend tried to strangle her.

The former MTV star, 24, says her jealous ex pinned her down on the ground after she refused to have sex with him.

Mia bravely told of how Christopher Brooks gripped her neck during the horrifying ordeal, and the grip was so hard that it left finger imprints and severe bruising, a court heard.

After the pair split, Brooks was angry about Mia dating others which resulted in the violent attack, The Sun reports.

He then snatched her phone and refused to hand it back unless she had sex with him.

After she said no, he forcefully pinned her down on the floor, a court heard.

“I feared for my life when he was squeezing my throat…..I didn’t think I would see my daughter again," Mia said.

At Maidstone crown court, judge Julian Smith told Brooks, of Caterham, Surrey, said: “There can be few things more frightening than being choked while helpless and pinned to the floor."

"She thought you would kill her," the judge added.

Brooks has now been jailed for 12 months.

Mia quit Teen Mom UK in 2018 in a bid to "focus on new things".

Explaining her decision to step away from the show, she told MTV at the time: "I’ve decided to take a break from Teen Mom UK series 4 because I’ve decided to focus on my new relationship and Marliya."

"I’d love to come back for another series and I don’t think you’ve seen the last of me yet," she added.

Since her time on the hit MTV show, Mia went on to bag her very own podcast dubbed Nappy Days with Mia Boardman.

The star chats about all things babies and motherhood with a different celebrity mum each episode.
