On Wednesday, July 28, at around 3pm, Siobhan Highcock, 19, was out on her motorbike getting her mum a birthday present when her tyres skidded on oil on the roundabout near Tesco in St Helens.

Siobhan said she was shaking and barely able to speak from the shock, but predominately remembers a young couple, who she describes as in their twenties, staying and helping her.

The teenager said the woman helped calm her down and made sure she stayed in a comfortable until an ambulance arrived and that the man "gave her his jacket to keep her warm" and offered to walk her Honda CB125F back to her house.

Siobhan told the ECHO: "I was getting a bottle of wine for my mum, it was her birthday. There was oil on the road and the tyres of my bike, it was like a traction and I just went down.

"I went into shock. I was shaking for a while and I was sat there for quite some time. I was in a lot of pain."

"This man and his girlfriend came over and the girlfriend was a health care nurse and she was making sure I was sat properly so I didn't hurt my back.

"The man offered to walk my bike home and he gave me his jacket to keep me warm. and he was checking the bike over for any damage.

"They were lovely to be honest. They did a really good job of calming me down."

The 19-year-old said there was another woman and an older couple also present trying to help, but due to the shock she only really remembers the young couple who were predominantly helping her.

She described both of the strangers as in their twenties, the woman having brown and purple dreadlock styled hair and the man being quite tall with a beard.

But it wasn't until she arrive at A&E that she realised she still had the man's jacket on.

Siobhan said: "I'm really thankful for them. I don't know what I would have done - I probably would have sat there until somebody came over to help me.

"I would like to find out who they are but mostly to give the man his jacket back.

"My dad is very protective and he was chuffed that somebody was there to look after me."

Siobhan was taken in an ambulance to hospital after damaging the muscle tissue between her spine and right hip and has spent the last few days in bed recovering.

Her dad Chris has since shared a post on Facebook in the hopes the family can track down the kind couple.

It reads: "Good morning everyone. I need a big favour from ALL of my friends to share this message.

"Siobhan yesterday had a accident on her motorbike on the mini island outside the big Tesco in St Helens.

"Siobhan is ok, she hurt her lower back and was taken to Whiston A+E and spent five and half hours with no treatment discharging herself just before midnight.

"Anyway I need to find the gentleman who attended her accident helped and waited with Siobhan till the ambulance arrived. Then wheeled her bike to safety by Tesco main entrance.

"I need to make contact with this man to thank him and give him his coat back that he kindly gave to Siobhan to keep her warm and dry waiting for the ambulance.

"So please could you all share this message and ask other friends to share too. Thank you all in advance I know you'll do it."
