A teenager led police on a chase through Liverpool before crashing into another car on a busy road.
The car, a Kia Venga, was spotted on County Road at around 1.30pm on Thursday afternoon but when police tried to stop it, the driver kept going.
Officers began chasing the car through Walton before it crashed into a Peugeot 3008 at the junction of Barlow’s Lane.
It continued on but crashed into another car a short time later.
The driver then got out of the car and ran from police on foot before being arrested nearby.
Dramatic pictures taken at the scene show police surrounding a damaged car.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed that a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving, dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking and theft of a motor vehicle.
The force said: "Officers have arrested a man following an incident in Walton this afternoon, Thursday, 14 January.
"At around 1.30pm, a Kia Venga came to the attention of officers in the County Road area.
"The vehicle failed to stop and during a pursuit, collided with a Peugeot 3008 at the junction or Barlow’s Lane, causing damage to the wing mirror.
"The vehicle continued and collided with a second vehicle a short time later, before the driver made off from the Kia on foot.
"Officers arrested a 19-year-old man from Liverpool on suspicion of drug driving, dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking and theft of a motor vehicle.

"He remains in custody for questioning.
"No one was injured during the incident."
