Tributes to a teenage boy who was stabbed to death have poured in from devastated loved ones.
The 18-year-old, named locally as Kyle Whitley, was killed after being stabbed in the chest on Vincent Road, in Litherland, on Easter Monday.
Armed police and emergency services flooded the Sefton street shortly after 2.30pm before Kyle was rushed to hospital.
He sadly died a short time later as Merseyside Police confirmed a 17-year-old had been arrested on suspicion of murder.
As officers continued to question the boy over the killing, tributes began to flood social media for popular Kyle.
On Facebook, Dyl Jones shared an emotional post to his friend while calling for a stop to knife crime.
He said: "Taken too early bro rest easy up there were all gonna make you proud g.
"Share this post and raise more awareness!! You’ll get the justice you deserve brother, fly high.
"NO MORE KNIVES."
Elle Turrell also shared an ECHO article about the attack and said: "May you rest in peace, a beautiful soul taken far too soon."
Jean Hamilton also said: "RIP Kyle taken much too young. Sending my heartfelt sympathy to his family. You are in my prayers."
Kodie Seddon added: "RIP Kyle Whitley."

The teenager has not been formally identified.
A police scene remained in place on Vincent Road on Tuesday evening as police continued with their murder investigation.
The brutal attack took place just two streets away from the home of 20-year-old Michael Rainsford who was shot dead in his kitchen on April 7.
Detectives are currently keeping an open mind whether the murders of the two young men are connected and if they are linked to a shooting at Rimrose Hope Primary School in Seaforth on Easter Sunday.
Detectives are investigating whether the shooting may have been someone test-firing a gun, or whether a stray bullet struck the building after being fired at someone, or something, else.
No-one has come forward for treatment to gunshot wounds that could have been connected to the blast.
Superintendent Graeme Robson today slammed those responsible for the "senseless acts of violence" that have blighted the area in recent days.
He told the ECHO: "In the last seven days we have had a young man shot last week, the damage caused to Rimrose Hope primary school - reported to us on Sunday, and then an 18-year-old man stabbed yesterday.
"All took place within a relatively small geographical area in South Sefton. We are not formally linking all three at the moment, though we are keeping an open mind."
He said full investigation teams had been assigned to each incident and house-to-house enquiries were underway following the Vincent Road attack.
