An 18-year-old man has been locked up for three years and three months after being convicted of possession of class A drugs.
Jordan Yankarran was caught attempting to flush 30 to 40 wraps of heroin down the toilet when police raided a Newark house.
Yankarran, of Westcliff Parade, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on March 28.
He was found guilty of possession of heroin with intent to supply and possession of cocaine with intent to supply.
He was arrested in St Marys Gardens, Newark, on January 24, 2019, after officers conducted a warrant at the property.
The investigation found that the house had been taken over as part of a 'county lines' drug-dealing operation. It was being used as a hub for dealing class A drugs in the Newark area.
County lines is a term used to describe criminal networks that exploit children and vulnerable adults to run drug-dealing routes, often between urban centres and more rural areas.

Yankarran was caught attempting to flush wraps of heroin down the toilet when police raided.
Officers also found a large quantity of cash, two mobile phones, a machete, a SIM card and cannabis.
Inspector Heather Sutton, neighbourhood policing inspector for Newark and Sherwood, said: “Drugs and drug dealing cause huge issues in communities and society as a whole.
"Class A drugs, like the ones Yankarran was dealing, can have a big impact on someone’s health, even causing death in some circumstances.
"I’m pleased to see that these drugs have been taken off the streets and can no longer harm anyone.”
