Teen 'stabbed' at Calvin Harris Hampden Park gig as cops probe vicious assault

A teenage boy is in hospital after being violently attacked at a Calvin Harris concert in Glasgow. Medics attended to the 15-year-old after he was seriously assaulted at Hampden Park on Saturday, July 2.

He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University hospital for treatment to his injuries. His current condition is unknown, but local reports suggest the teen was stabbed.

Writing on Twitter, one person said: "Calvin Harris was outstanding last night. I didn’t see one bit of trouble. Everyone just having a smashing time and living their best lives.

"Hope the wee guy who got stabbed is okay. I’d say the searches had to be better for an event of that nature though." Another person added: "A boy was stabbed at it [the event]."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are carrying out enquiries after receiving a report of a 15-year-old boy having been seriously assaulted at an event in Hampden Park on Saturday, July 2. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.”

Thousands of fans packed the venue to see the Dumfries DJ perform. Calvin, 38, was fresh from playing sets at Ushuaia in Ibiza before heading to Glasgow' s South Side for the gig.
