Teen in hospital after being stabbed outside Felling pizza shop

A teen has been left in hospital with injuries caused by "a blade" after a report of a fight in Gateshead.

Northumbria Police received a report that there had been a fight outside the Pizza Euro on Crowhall Lane, Gateshead at around 9pm on Friday night.

Officers attended the scene where they discovered a 17-year-old suffering with non-life threatening injuries to consistent with having been caused by a bladed article.

He was taken to hospital where he now remains.

Police have now launched an investigation into the incident and they have appealed to anyone with information to come forward.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 9pm yesterday (Friday) we received a report that there had been in a fight outside the Pizza Euro on Crowhall Lane, Gateshead.

“Officers attended and discovered a 17-year-old male suffering with non-life threatening injuries to consistent with having been caused by a bladed article.

“He was taken to hospital where he remains.

“An investigation is ongoing into the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of our website or by calling 101 quoting log NP-20210820-1061.”
