A teenager was taken to hospital with a head injury after being hit by a van.
Merseyside Police received a call at around 2.30pm on Thursday, April 27, following reports of a crash on Copplehouse Lane, near the junction of Field Lane in Fazakerely. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a teenage boy had been hit by a Ford Transit van.
North West Ambulance Service was called to the scene and the boy was taken to hospital with a head injury. Police described the boy's injuries as minor.

The driver of the van stopped at the scene and it assisting police with enquiries. Valley Lane and Field Lane were closed while emergency services dealt with the incident. The roads have since reopened.
A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "Just before 2.30pm this afternoon we received a report of a collision involving a teenage boy and a Ford Transit Van. The boy suffered a minor injury to his head and has been taken to hospital."
