Boy, 13, fighting for life after being hit by car on busy road
A 13-year-old boy was rushed to hospital and is fighting for life after being hit by a car.
Merseyside Police rushed to Princess Drive in Dovecot at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, January 25 following reports of a crash.
Once at the scene officers found a 13-year-old boy had been hit by a Kia Venga at the junction of Finch Road.

The boy was rushed to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service with serious injuries and is currently in a critical condition.
The driver of the Kia Venga stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
An investigation into the collision is underway and enquiries are being carried out in the local area.

Thug tried to drive wrong way up M57 in high speed chase
A thug sped through residential roads before trying to drive the wrong way up the M57.
Ben Duffy was out on licence from a previous dangerous driving conviction when he went on a reckless rampage around Merseyside last October.
He went through red lights, travelled the wrong way up roads and drove at 70 miles per hour in a 40 zone during his 20-minute high speed chase.

The 29-year-old was only stopped when a police officer rammed his car as it was about to drive the wrong way on to the M57.
Steven Ball, prosecuting, said Duffy was spotted by police in a Ford Cougar with cloned plates and officers on October 24.

Mum bruised and swollen after chasing her kids on beach trip
A mum has warned people about danger at a popular dog-walking beach.
Kate Benson was at Crosby sand dunes with her two children and partner when she tripped on a wire, leaving her with a fat lip and bruising across her body.
The 38-year-old, from Waterloo, is now looking to warn families and dog owners who visit the beauty spot to keep an eye out and be careful in case the same happens to them.

The mum-of-two told the ECHO : "It was New Year's Eve and we went down to the beach with the kids. We were playing in the sand dunes."
The civil servant, who hasn't returned to the beach since she took pictures of the wire on New Year's Day, initially took to Facebook to share the event and warn anyone else who might be going to the sand dunes and beach.
