Teen Hataoka makes Japan golf history

ROGERS, Ark. -- Teen Nasa Hataoka won the NW Arkansas Championship on Sunday in Rogers, Ark., becoming the youngest Japanese player to win a U.S. LPGA Tour event.

At 19 years and 5 months, she became the eighth Japanese player to win an LPGA event held outside Japan, and the first since Harukyo Nomura's victory in April 2017.

Hataoka set a new tournament record with a total of 21-under par.
