Teen grazed in South Shore shooting

A 16-year-old boy was hurt in a shooting Sunday in South Shore.

About 8:24 p.m., he was walking in the 7100 block of South Jeffery Boulevard when someone opened fire, Chicago police said.

The teen suffered a grazed wound to the face and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition, police said.

Area One detectives are investigating.
