Teen girl among 2 wounded in Englewood drive-by

A teenage girl and a man were wounded Thursday in a drive-by in Englewood on the South Side.

About 12:35 a.m., the pair were standing outside with a large group of people at a gathering in the 6600 block of South Oakley Avenue when someone in a passing gray or silver Nissan opened fire, Chicago police said.

The man, 38, what struck in the foot and taken to Holy Cross Hospital, police said. The girl, 16, was hit in the leg and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital.

They are both in good condition, police said.

It is unknown if either victim was the intended target and witnesses have been uncooperative with detectives, police said.

Area Central detectives are investigating the shooting.
