A teenager has died and another man is fighting for his life after being struck by a van in Glasgow .
Emergency services rushed to Barrowfield Street in the city at around 6.45am on Sunday after reports of the crash.
Paramedics treated an 18-year-old man but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second man was also rushed to Glasgow’s Royal Infirmary after the incident.
The 20-year-old’s condition has been described as critical by staff at the hospital.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 6.45am on Sunday, September 29, an 18-year-old man was struck by a van in Barrowfield Street, Glasgow.
“He was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
“A second man, 20, has also been seriously injured. He has been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where his condition has been described by medical staff as critical.
“Extensive enquiries, which are at a very early stage, to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.”
