Teen 'covered in blood' rushed to hospital after horror assault in Balbriggan

A teenager was rushed to the hospital following a horrific assault at a north Dublin home.

The shocking incident happened yesterday around 6 pm.

A lad in his late teens was allegedly stabbed by three men in balaclavas at a residence in Balbriggan.

He was taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment where a witness saw the teen "covered in blood".

She told Dublin Live: "The guy in the back seat fell out after the car door opened with blood coming out of his neck and head. [He was] literally covered [in blood].

"They thought it was the A&E. [There was] Screaming and roaring. I thought I was in the middle of a Love/Hate scene."

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí received reports of an alleged assault at a residence in Balbriggan yesterday evening, 30th July 2021, at approximately 6pm.

"A man (late teens) received injuries to the face and later received treatment at Beaumont Hospital.

"No arrests have been made. Investigations ongoing."
