A teenage boy is accused of stabbing someone during a fight over a drug deal last week in northwest suburban Palatine.
The teen is charged with one count of attempted murder in connection with the Jan. 12 incident, Palatine police said in a statement.
That morning, officers responded to the 1000 block of Bayside Drive and found a 20-year-old man with stab wounds, police said. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Investigators learned the stabbing occurred during a fight which stemmed from a previous drug deal, police said.
The teen allegedly stabbed the 20-year-old multiple times in the upper body and arms during the fight, police said.
He was arrested Jan. 15 and taken to the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center.
