Teen charged with 'attempted murder' following Glasgow incident

A TEENAGER has been arrested following a "murder bid" in Glasgow.

The 18-year-old was arrested and charged with the alleged attempted murder following a reported disturbance on Ashgill Road last week.

Police were called to the scene at around 6.55pm on June 23 after receiving a report of the alleged incident, which involved three cars and a man.

A 22-year-old man was allegedly struck by a vehicle and was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Police Scotland has confirmed that their investigation remains ongoing.

The 18-year-old is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday, July 2.

Officers attended the incident on June 24 and said they believed it was "targeted".

Ashgill Road was closed for 11 hours before reopening the following morning.
