Teen charged in connection with Easter Weekend incident at Meadows in Edinburgh

Police have arrested a teen in connection with an incident in an Edinburgh beauty spot during Easter weekend.

A 16-year-old has been charged in connection with the incident which occurred on April 3 at 7pm in the Meadows.

We previously told how officers had appealed to the public for information on the incident.

The nature of the charge is not known at this time.

A further 14 people - three boys and eleven men - were also charged over incidents which allegedly took place that day.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 16-year-old male has been charged and will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal following an incident that occurred at around 7pm on Saturday, 3 April 2021, in the Meadows area of Edinburgh.”
