A teenage boy was wounded in a shooting Wednesday inside a home in West Englewood on the South Side.
Someone shot the 17-year-old in the right leg about 5:15 p.m. inside the basement of a home in the 7000 block of South Winchester Avenue, Chicago police said.
The boy was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
Area One detectives are investigating.
