A 17-year-old boy was shot Tuesday afternoon in Washington Park on the South Side.
About 4:20 p.m., the boy was on a sidewalk in the 5500 block of South Michigan Avenue when a vehicle approached him and someone inside began firing shots, Chicago police said.
The boy was struck in the foot and transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, police said.
