A teenage boy has been charged, accused of stabbing an 18-year-old man near a shopping centre on the Central Coast.
Emergency services were called to Lemon Gum Circuit at Blue Haven about 3.45pm on Monday, where they found a man had suffered a stab wound.
Police were told the man was allegedly stabbed near a shopping centre on the Pacific Highway at San Remo, before he was taken to Blue Haven.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was flown to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.
Tuggerah Lakes Police District officers established a crime scene and have begun inquiring into the incident.
Police later found and seized a knife from a home in San Remo.
About 9.30pm, officers arrested a 15-year-old boy on Sally Close at Lake Haven.
The boy was taken to Wyong Police Station and charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The teenager was refused bail and will face a children's court on Tuesday.
