A teenage boy was wounded in a shooting late Saturday in Austin on the West Side.
The 14-year-old was walking outside about 10:55 p.m. when he heard shots and felt pain in the 5600 block of West Madison Street, Chicago police said.
He hid behind a vehicle and realized he had been struck in the hand, police said. His parents drove him to West Suburban Hospital in good condition.
No one is in custody as Area Four detectives investigate.
