Cops are hunting for a gang of youths after two teenage boys were seriously assaulted in Balloch Country Park .
A 16-year-old and and 19-year-old were attacked by a group of around 10 to 15 male and females on Tuesday evening at around 5pm.
The boy, 16, was hit several times in the face before escaping, while his pal was battered on the head with a brick.
The group then ran off with the two injured teens making their way to the train station.
The pair then attended Glasgow Royal Infirmary where they were treated for their injuries before being discharged.
Detective Constable Geoff McKillop at Clydebank said: "This was a totally unprovoked attacked which has left two young men with serious injuries which require further medical treatment and therefore it is vital that we trace those responsible for such reckless conduct.
"I know that there were members of the public that assisted in the first assault and I ask that if any of these people have not already spoken to police that they do so immediately.
"Anyone who has information or anyone who has captured any footage on their cameras should contact police at Clydebank via telephone number 101 quoting incident number 3027 of 23 July 2019."
