Two men have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences after a car crash in Little Hulton.
The incident was on Manchester Road East yesterday and resulted in a teenager being assaulted.
In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 8.10pm yesterday evening (Sunday 23 August 2020), police were called to a report of a collision involving two vehicles on Manchester Road East, Little Hulton.
"Officers attended an established that two vehicles, a black Vauxhall Astra and blue Ford Focus, had been in collision and a teenager had subsequently been assaulted.
"The victim, a boy aged 17, was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.
"Two men, aged 21 and 28, have been arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. Both men remain in custody for questioning. Enquiries are ongoing."
The incident is not linked to a multiple stabbing which happened two hours later about a mile away at The Stocks pub in Walkden.
In that incident four people were injured - one seriously.
