A teenager has been arrested following an alleged serious sexual assault in Co Antrim .
Police probing the reported incident in the Inver Road area of Larne between 4-4.30pm on July 17 are appealing for information.
The 17-year-old quizzed has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the report of a serious sexual assault on a female in the Inver Road area of Larne.
“Sometime between 4pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday, 17 July the female was assaulted by a male.
“A 17-year-old male youth was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences. He was later released on bail pending further police enquiries.
“Detective Constable Curry would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone who has information that could assist us with our enquiries to contact detectives on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1952 18/07/19.”
