A teenager was arrested by Gardaí after being caught holding a stolen bottle of vodka and knuckledusters following a search in Temple Bar over the weekend.
The 15-year-old was arrested for handling stolen property when officers found the weapon during a body search.
The bottle of Smirnoff vodka that was also discovered still had the security tag attached.
He was released into his parents' custody and will now be referred to the Garda Youth Diversion Office.
An Garda Siochána tweeted: “Gardaí seized a bottle of vodka from a 15 yr old in Temple Bar, Dublin 2.”
“He was arrested for handling stolen property, a knuckleduster was located on his person, when searched. The youth was released into his parents' custody pending a referral to Garda Youth Diversion Office.”
