A teenager who carried out a terrifying robbery brandishing a "Rambo-style" knife has been jaiied.
The victim, a 52-year-old man had been visiting a friend when Jordan Slevin burst into the flat brandishing the large weapon.
Armed with what police described as a ‘Rambo-style’ knife, the 19-year-old demanded cash from his victim who handed over money during the robbery in Providence Court, St Helens .
The raid happened on Wednesday, May 8 and police later arrested Slevin and found the large knife, a quantity of cash and cannabis during a search of his flat.
Slevin, of Providence Court, St Helens , pleaded guilty to robbery and possession of cannabis.
He was sentenced to five years in custody when he appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday.
Merseyside Police Detective Inspector Steve Ball said: “I am pleased with how quickly we were able to detain Slevin and bring this matter to court."
He added: "Although the victim in this matter was not physically hurt he was left shaken by his ordeal.
"I hope that knowing Slevin will be behind bars for a considerable amount of time will allow him to recover from his ordeal."
