Teen among 2 wounded in West Pullman shooting

The 17-year-old boy and 22-year-old man took themselves to MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island.

Two people were wounded in a shooting Thursday in West Pullman on the Far South Side.

The pair told authorities they were walking about 10:15 p.m. in the 11800 block of South Halsted Street when they heard gunfire and realized they were shot, Chicago police said.

A 17-year-old boy was struck in the buttocks and a 22-year-old man was hit in the leg, police said. They took themselves to MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island where their conditions were stabilized.

They believe the shots may have come from a dark-colored vehicle but were “uncooperative” with investigators, police said.

No arrests have been made as Area South detectives are investigating.
