Teen, 18, intimidated by brazen Luas creep who kept taking pictures of her

A brazen photo creep took pictures of an 18-year-old girl on the Luas leaving the flash on without a care.

A young woman has described her terror after getting the tram from O'Connell to Harcourt Street only for the weirdo to take multiple pictures of her without even trying to hide it.

Laois native Lauren told RTE's Liveline she was on the way to a medical appointment when she noticed the flashing.

She ignored it at first thinking maybe the man had accidentally tried to take a selfie the wrong way round - but the first flash was followed by another, then another.

She said: "I realised there was a light flashing in my eyes.

"The man across from me had a bag on his crotch and his hands were crossed in a certain way that..."

Joe Duffy then cuts in before Laura gave more detailed on what was happening .

She said: "The man was taking photos of me.

"I let it go because I thought it was just one photo but then it happened a few times so I said 'excuse me'.

"I was terrified, absolutely terrified.

"He looked through me, I realised he wasn't going to answer me."

Lauren eventually got up and moved down the tram, but said she was so scared she froze up at the first few attempts to move.

She said: "I tried to get up a few times but I was terrified. So I just decided to buzz up and just stand against the rails but there was a lot of people there.

"I was very intimidated and upset that I couldn't feel safe on a public tram at 12pm on a Monday.

"When I said excuse me he looked through me as if he had no idea what was going on.

"I didn't know what to do or where to go.

"Not one person said anything, but I don't know if they realised. I don't know how it looked, yes the flash was going off but I didn't know if people thought we knew each other or how it looked."
