A teenager dresses as a grey wolf in rainbow wings and prowls in her local park, growling at passersby.
"Jana Moon", 18, is a furry - someone who is obsessed with anthropomorphic animal characters with human personalities and characteristics.
The aspiring author from Bedford says she's been obsessed with dogs since she was seven, BedfordshireLive reports.
She says it soon turned into a wolf obsession by 11.
She said: "I went to college and got bullied for being a furry, which I took as an offence because I didn't know what it meant.
"But I looked it up and it turns out I am a furry, so I didn't find it offensive and I've just accepted it now."

She added: "People called me it because if I got mad I just growled at people at college - which was a bad idea to do but it was just a coping mechanism for the s*** I have been through. It was just natural for me to act like an animal back then."
Jana prowls Bedford Park in her outfit - a grey wolf onesie with wings - that was a gift from her family for her birthday.
It is a more budget-friendly option as full fur suits can cost between £1,400 and £3,500.
She said: "I mainly do it around Bedford Park as I'm more comfortable and if people ask why I'm doing it I can say I'm trying to help kids smile during Covid. We are pretty much cosplayers but stay in the animal section of it."

Cosplaying - a portmanteau of costume play - is wearing a costume of a character and pretending to be that character.
The character is normally from popular films, books, comics and video games.
She added: "It's escapism. If you have been bullied or are self-conscious wearing the suit means we can be our own persona or have a different personality - mine is Jana Moon - and it gives us the confidence we wouldn't have outside the suit."

She'd like to be her character "on a daily basis".
When walking in Bedford Park people take photos of Jana, and she has had a few children laughing at her.
She said: "I don't seem bothered by that which I find strange because normally I would have a mental breakdown."
Jana added that she often gets a positive reaction with kids and parents smiling.
However, Jana has had a few negative reactions but her costume gives her confidence.

She said: "It makes me feel happier, more confident and more positive than normal.
"It makes me feel like I have control over my life - because I have a lack of control now."
Jana is writing a book about the character Jana Moon a "moon wolf" and says "every supernatural character merged into one and taking a wolf form".
She added: "She has wings because she is supposed to be a goddess so she can fly - and I find the wings are the easiest way to show off that she has magic powers."
Jana Moon's wings are interchangeable rainbow or white, but her character has silver wings.
She also hopes to dispel the myth that being a furry is only a sexual kink because most are "into the art side".
Jana said: "That's what my bullies say - they bully me because they think it's a kink when it's not. She clarified that being a "sexual version" of a furry is called yiffing.
Jana is currently at college and is hoping to study animation at university.
She has also set up a Facebook group for furries in Bedford.
