Teen, 17, kicked and punched by gang in Barton Hill robbery

A 17-year-old boy suffered head injuries after a gang robbed his iPhone in Brandon Hill.

Officers said the teenager was approached by a large group of youths who demanded his mobile before kicking and punching him.

He suffered bruising to his head and further injuries in the attack in Brandon Hill park on Monday evening (May 31).

Police said the teenager was sitting with a friend when a group of eight, described as being black and in their late teens or early 20s, began the assault.

It’s believed that they all wore black hoodies and face masks.

The group made off with the teenager's phone when a member of the public shouted at them.

Avon and Somerset Police are keen to hear from a man believed to be in 40s - and with a child, when the offence took place near to the Queens Parade entrance.

A spokesperson said: "If that was you, if you were in the park at around that time, have any dashcam or phone footage which could help, or any other information, call 101 quoting reference 5221120097."
